Meet the Staff


Paul Marquardt, Principal

Dr. Paul Marquardt has worked in education for 25 years, having served as an elementary school teacher and principal, as well as a college professor and assistant dean at Concordia University, Irvine. Dr. Marquardt has a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. He enjoys working with students, parents, and faculty to bring education and learning to life. Dr. Marquardt is married and has two grown children.

Marty, as many people know him, has a thriving career as a professional singer in genres ranging from opera to classical concert. Marty frequently travels to other singing engagements while maintaing his leadership role at Red Hill. He has received wide acclaim in numerous Operatic roles and has appeared as a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Esplanade! Orchestra, the Pacific Chorale, the Long Beach Symphony, the Bakersfield Symphony, Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montreal, Opera Pacific, Intimate Opera of Pasadena, Center Stage Opera, Santa Maria Philharmonic, Roswell Symphony Orchestra, and many others. He attended California State University, Fullerton, graduating with a B.A. in Music Education, and he was a member of Opera Pacific's O.P.E.R.A. resident artist program.

Isaiah's musical gifts are vast, and his incredible talents are shared every week as he leads the Praise Band during Sunday morning's Contemporary Worship Service and on Wednesday mornings, throughout the school year, at the 8:45 am School Chapel service. Isaiah was signed to a record label and has toured the United States, Canada, Japan and the Philippines. He has also been featured on several local radio stations. Isaiah has four children and is married to Andrea.


Jennifer Brenner, Director of Youth and Family Ministry

Jennifer has had the joy of serving RHL Church & School families since 2009 alongside her husband, Dave, who teaches at RHLS and their two daughters who also attend our school. She earned her B.A. in Education from Arizona State University and her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership & Administration from Northern Arizona University. She also holds a CA Multiple Subject teaching credential. Mrs. "B" has been in youth education and ministry with teens to young adults for nearly 20 years and appreciates being able to partner with parents in making an impact in the lives of students for Christ. She seeks to reach all students’ hearts, to facilitate growth in their personal relationship with Christ, to teach God’s Word as absolute truth, to equip students to defend their faith, and to release them into the world to be the salt and light for Christ!


Annie Caamano, Children's Ministry Coordinator

Annie, her husband, John, and their four children are long time members of Red Hill Lutheran Church. Her children have all graduated from Red Hill Lutheran School and are now in high school and college. Annie has transitioned from teaching in Red Hill Lutheran's preschool department for nine years, to serving as our Children's Ministry Coordinator.


Carmen is a life-long Lutheran who has served with Sunday School, VBS and sang in Contemporary Worship. She and her husband, Stefan, have been members of Red Hill since 1998. Their two children were baptized at Red Hill and have participated in our children's ministries for years.


Donna Kunz, Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor

Donna has been a member of Red Hill Lutheran Church since 1999. Previously, Donna served on the Public Relations Committee and was subsequently appointed Chairman of the Public Relations Committee and a member of the Church Council. She has also been a Communion server and an usher. Donna graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a B.A. in Communications.


Angela Calderon, Small Groups Coordinator

Angela and her family are active members of Red Hill. Husband Bill heads up the Street Team ministry, and son Cameron plays the drums in the Praise Band during the Sunday Contemporary Worship Service. A long time member of Red Hill, serving the church in a variety of capacities over the years, Angela is well-suited for her role in developing small group opportunities enabling members to grow in their faith and connect with one another.


Heather Bullock, Church and School Administrator

Heather, a Southern California native, grew up Lutheran in Orange County. After marrying, she relocated to North Carolina where she began her family. She and her family returned to Orange County in 1997. Heather is married with two children. Both of her children attended Preschool through Grade 8 and graduated from RHLS. Heather was the first recipient of the Red Hill Lutheran School Board Exemplary Service Award in October 2008, honoring her for her dedication, devotion, and leadership to students and families of our school.

Lis and her family became members of Red Hill in 1995 through the school. Lis enjoys her volunteer activities - Assistance League of Santa Ana and the Tustin Community Foundation Partners in Parks program. Lis joined the Red Hill staff in 2001.


A native of Orange County, Jason received his degree in choral conducting at Chapman University, and Master of Arts in Worship Leadership at Azusa Pacific University. Jason is highly sought after as a clinician and Honor Choir director in Southern California. He directs the Chancel choir, Special Music, and classical music concerts. Jason and his wife Mindy have five children and are happy to call Red Hill Lutheran their church home.


Dr. Linda Brown, Organist and Resident Keyboardist

Linda Brown is a renowned organist throughout the region and an Associate Professor of Music at Rio Hondo College where she currently teaches the Vocal Arts Ensembles (Music 120 and 139) the Rio Hondo College Singers, an auditioned choral group (Music 134) and Music Fundamentals (Music 101). Additionally she is the Advisor for the Vocal Arts Alliance Club, and works with non-credit musical ensembles such as Rio Voce and the Handbell Ensemble. She is the resident organist at Red Hill Lutheran Church.
