Mercy House – Santa Ana
Mercy House strives to be the leader in ending homelessness by providing a unique system of dignified housing alternatives, programs and support services to the poor of Orange County. Ongoing needs include sack lunches, hygiene kits, and play-hour volunteers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Baja Christian Ministries – Tijuana, Mexico
Baja Christian Ministries is a Christian organization dedicated to serving the spiritual and physical needs of the poor in Mexico in the name of Jesus Christ. Our group builds a home for a family in just one weekend. Housebuilding trips are scheduled every year in April or May.
Isaiah House – Santa Ana
Isaiah house is an open home of workers, volunteers, and guests where all can be transformed by serving those in need by providing over 3,000 meals each week, as well as clothes and other necessities to those facing homelessness. There is an ongoing need for small groups to prepare and serve meals throughout the year.
Stop Hunger Now – Santa Ana
Stop Hunger Now is an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. In addition to hosting at least one meal-packing event each year, there are opportunities for individuals and groups to help in the Santa Ana warehouse all year long.
Chili Van – Santa Ana
As part of the Orange County Rescue Mission’s ministry to share the love of Jesus Christ to the least, the last, and the lost of our community, a “chili van” drives to various locations to serve a hot meal to the homeless of Orange County. Ongoing opportunities exist for small groups who would like to participate in this ministry throughout the year.
Orange County Rescue Mission – Tustin
The Orange County Rescue Mission provides assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, health care and independent living communities. Individuals and groups are needed to help throughout the year – particularly doctors, nurses, dentists, hair stylists, mentors and tutors.
